The Brief

A long-standing client approached us to produce one of their most memorable annual Rewards Trip to date. They sought an exciting and engaging itinerary that would make guests feel genuinely rewarded and valued for their hard work over the past year.

Destination

After shortlisting, we landed on the Hotel Palacio Estoril in Cascais, Lisbon. The Palacio has been a haven for distinguished guests such as Grace Kelly and Ian Fleming. Serving as the Allied Spy HQ, it is said that Fleming met Double Agent Dusko Popov in the Hotel’s Casino, later inspiring the James Bond character. The Hotel also served as a film set for ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’.

The guests were able to truly immerse in the world of 007, and grace its red carpet in style.

Challenges

An unexpected change in departure terminals required swift coordination and discretion to ensure a smooth transition for all guests.

During the live event, we encountered the unforeseen cancellation of a key activity by the provider. This necessitated quick thinking and seamless adjustments to maintain the event’s excitement and engagement.

Solution

Thanks to our established network of suppliers we were able to quickly rearrange accommodation for guests the night prior to departure and ensured this was effectively communicated to all guests.

Our dedicated team were able to liaise with contacts in the local area to produce a five-star lunch service accompanied by live music and wine tasting with less than twenty four hours notice.

Activities

We had carefully crafted a bespoke itinerary for the trip, perfectly suited to the guests attending. Relaxing in style, the group were able to enjoy spa treatments and rounds of golf on the hotel course.

The trip was perfectly tied together with a catamaran trip along the River Tagus. Guests were able to enjoy thrilling jet boat rides, panoramic views of the Iberian Peninsula and a traditional lunch onboard.

Gala Dinner

Having understood the rich history of the Palacio, it made complete sense to host the concluding Gala Dinner in their very own Europa dining room. Complete with ‘007’ theming, guests were able to embrace the ‘Bond’ feel as they graced the red carpet in style.

We tied together the evening perfectly with world renowned West End singers and a DJ into the early hours ensuring this was the most successful Rewards Trip to date.

Going Above and Beyond

We understand how even the smallest things can have the most impact and this trip was no exception. We packed totes with locally crafted Artisan gifts and commissioned bathrobes with the client’s company logo securing this as a memorable trip.
